I WAS THINKING OF STARTING A SOCIAL GROUP IN MY CITY.
We have very limited resourses,Just a few ABA,workers,Its a small city!,We dont even have a decent SLP,my dh does go to Daycare and does ok,but does not do alot of 1/1play.
Has anyone started a group?Any sugestions would be helpful.
My son is in a social group of ASD kids over 12. We make sure the kids go to a lot of fun activities. However, although our group is fairly large, at this age the kids don't interact. The parents do...lol. We have a joke going that it's really a social group for adults. The kids either do the stuff alone (like if it's a waterpark they go on the water rides alone) or they often hang with their siblings. I've never seen any of the kids make a friend. The adults have a blast
